K Andrews Simply Sunday Challenge-Vintage Appeal

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you are having a great weekend so far, I know I have!!

Today is Simply Sunday Challenge and my first post as a DT member for Getting Cricky with K Andrews!! I am so honored and excited to be a part of this awesome Design Team and to work with such a wonderful and kind person!!

Ok so the Challenge for today is Vintage Appeal, that means make any project you want as long as it has a vintage edge to it!! For me this one was a little difficult and I scrapped a few projects lol, but in the end I am happy with what I ended up with!! I actually made 2 projects, here is the first one:

This first project is a little art book! I love to doodle and write down sentiments that
I may want to use one day as I think of them and usually I carry around an ugly little notebook
lol so this is a little more personalized book just for me and my wanderings!! The ribbon that is around it slides off; I measured it where it would fit snugly but would slide out easily and then sewed the ends together and then stiched the bow on it over the part where the ends meet.

.

My next Project is a little card for my BFF that had a bad break up and needed a little
reminder that she is too good to cry over that creep that broke her heart!!

She is totally out of his league!! I think it will make her smile and remind her how awesome she is!

I have been wanting to stamp on Kraft cardstock ever since I saw one of my DT sisters Jess @ Myscrapdiary, do it!! She made this beautiful card and I knew one day I would have to try it!! Let me tell you it is a little trickier than I thought lol but I think in the end I go tthe hang of it!!

Materials used:
  • Greeting Farm Stamps- Creepin Crew Kit
  • Kraft cardstock
  • ribbon
  • white sakura jelly roll pen
  • mod podge
  • atg gun
  • chalk ink
  • prismacolor pencils
  • paper from We are memory keepers
I hope you enjoyed my project today!! Dont forget to check out what the rest of my DT sisters created!! I hope you will all join the challenge, can't wait to see what amazing creations you come up with!

I love what you did with the coloring. It turned out to have that "antique" look to it. The first one reminded me of Amelia Earhart and the second one reminded me of Nellie Olsen from Little House on the Prairie. That's vintage for sure!!!
Love your creations...Great Job!

Thanks for the shout out girlie! Im happy that I gave you some inspiration. I like that blue color you used. It really pops against the kraft. Of course cute projects. I need to decorate one of my raggedy notepads as well. Lol. I dont have a proper one and I should really get on that. I decorate everything else except for that :D
Hope your friend feels better because Jill wont be taking any of that. heheheh
