Fall Wreath

ok this is my second post for the evening. I made this for two challenges! I told you I got to get a lot of crafting done today lol! Well I made this project to enter in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. Our challenge is to create something to hang on the wall, vinyl, shadow box, sign etc. The second challenge I am entering it in is and Getting Cricky's Fall Blessings Challenge! She is giving away an awesome prize go check it out for a chance to win!

I decided to make a wreath to hang on my door. This is my very first attempt to make a wreath using the cricut, all the leaves were cut with the cricut!! It was a lot more work then I thought but I am happy with the way it turned out!!

036

Materials Used:

(There are 4 different types of leaves)

  • Create a Critter ( 2 leaves come from this one)
  • Everyday Paper doll Dress up
  • Give a hoot
  • DCWV Autumn Splendor Stack ( patterned and glitter paper)
  • DCWV Autumn Splendor Solid Stack
  • Foam Wreath
  • Ribbon

First I wrapped a ribbon around the foam. I cut the leaves at 6 in, 5.5 in and 5 in ( real dial size) .

After cutting them out I inked the edges and crumbled them up and inked on the front of the leaves. To give them a textured look.

Then I used hot glue and began to layer them onto the wreath. I decided to have them all go in one direction( it looks neater that way)

That’s it simple, but time consuming!!

I think it may need something more, what do you think?

Well that’s all for tonight..time for bed! Thanks for visiting have a great night!

Lots of Cricut Love,

Erika

Wow, so many beautiful leaves! I love how some are sparkly, speckled, orpolka dotted. I only have a baby bug, so it would take me ages to cut so many leaves. If you're looking to add a little something, maybe some ribbon and a "happy fall" sign? Thanks for sharing.
